Oneka's Ottawa Marathon's Fundraiser
The Company Oneka products were created out of a respect for our water sources and the many plants and animals that help clean and purify it along its way. Oneka products work with the elements of nature using certified organic and wild harvested herbal extracts to nourish the hair and body without the use of Sulphates, Parabens, or synthetic fragrances.
Sustainability We sure aren't perfect, but we're trying to do the right thing It may sound like a cliché but we want to leave things a little bit better than we find them. We strive to do business in a more enlightened way, where we take responsibility for the impact of our business on society and the environment, and move these impacts from negative to better. It’s part of our quest to become a truly sustainable business.
Why Oneka? From Native North American tribe Mohawk; Ohne:ka means 'water'. The name Oneka was chosen to reflect the importance of manufacturing personal care products while being very conscious of water. Oneka looks beyond great looking hair without making a compromise on quality, and sources ingredients known to be readily biodegradable. The Blue Heron in the logo is a symbol of our great Canadian watersheds, and a tribute to the abundance and diversity of life on the planet.
The founders Through Oneka, Philippe Choiniere and Stacey Lecuyer want to have a positive impact on people's health and the water ecosystems. For these 2 life enthousiasts their business is a way to do something about the change they want to see and make people's lifes better. Before getting into this business Stacey had been suffering from eczema for over 15 years and Philippe had been allergic to synthetic fragrances since being a baby.
